Apple Cinnamon Creme Bread Pudding

Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding

Like French toast, only easier. Perfect for wow-ing overnight guests.

Ingredients:

  • 1 French Baguette, cut into 1” cubes

  • 3 large apples, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch slices

  • 2 1/2 cups milk

  • 1/2 cup Apple Cinnamon Creme Liqueur

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted then slightly cooled

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  • Butter a 9x13” pan

  • Cut the baguette up into 1” cubes and put into the prepared pan.

  • Peel 3 apples and cut into 1/2” slices, distribute evenly over the bread cubes.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, Apple Cinnamon Creme Liqueur, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Slowly add the melted butter to the mixture stirring constantly.

  • Pour the liquid mixture over the bread cubes and apples. Let this mixture soak for about 15 minutes, allowing the bread cubes to absorb the liquid. To make ahead: prepare this dish up til this step then cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge. You’ll need to add a few minutes to the baking time.

  • Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Serve with Vermont Maple Syrup and whipped cream!
