Born and raised on the Boyden Farm, David Boyden created Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits in 1997. His entrepreneurial spirit, hard work, attention to detail, and love of research and development continues to grow the business and keep our selections fresh and of high quality.
Co-owner, Linda Boyden, is David’s spirited and humorous wife from Montreal, Canada. Her exquisite sense of style, hard work, and generous nature breathes life and beauty into the winery. Linda’s personal touch can been seen in every detail during your winery experience, bringing a little European design to Vermont.
Bridget Bailey – General Manager
Knowledgeable and organized, you’ll find Bridget both behind the scenes and on the sales floor. Her upbeat personality will get you excited to take a step out of your comfort zone to try new products and learn more about what the winery has to offer.
Nick Roy – Winemaker
Meet the winemaker! Nick loves being part of the wine and cider making process from start to finish. When he’s not in the cave making our products, you’ll find him nurturing our beautiful vineyards or crafting new cocktails for us using his incredible bar tending experience!
Josh Smith – Vineyard & Sugarbush Manager
Master of Agriculture, Josh (pictured left) lovingly tends both our beautiful vineyards and our expansive sugarbush of around 300 acres of sugar maple trees! He prunes and harvests our vineyards by hand to ensure the healthiest and best growth of the vine and fruit yield while keeping them herbicide free. His attention to detail is what helps to maintain a sustainable sugarbush with over 70 years of tapping the same trees and maintaining our Vermont organic certification on all of our maple syrup.
Alex Dragos – Winemaker
Alex has been helping craft our wines, ciders, and spirits for over five years. Starting as a part time winemaker’s apprentice downstairs, Alex has learned the ins and outs of winemaking from David Boyden himself! Alex is a wealth of knowledge from his time with us, and his personal interest in wine. He helps in every aspect of the production from vine to bottle and even helps in the sugarbush during maple season!
